Join us for a peaceful afternoon of creativity, faith, and fellowship as we explore the beautiful historic hymn Lead, Kindly Light.

Written by John Henry Newman in 1833, this hymn was born during a season of uncertainty and has carried its message of trusting God for the next step through generations. During our time together, we’ll learn about the story and circumstances behind the hymn, talk about its words and meaning, and reflect on what it means to follow God’s light when we can’t see the entire path ahead.

Then we’ll turn that inspiration into art! Using watercolor pencils, we’ll create the glowing lantern artwork featuring the hymn as its backdrop. We’ll work step-by-step together, so no watercolor experience is necessary.
