The Studio Journal Exchange Society

What if a journal could become so much more than a place to record your own thoughts?

What if it became a collection of creativity, encouragement, memories, and friendships…created by an entire community?

That’s exactly what The Studio Journal Exchange Society is all about.

This is a year-long creative experience where each participant begins with their own journal, then shares it with fellow members throughout the year. Every month, someone new will add artwork, journaling, mixed media, inspiration, or encouragement before returning it to The Studio for its next adventure.

At the end of the journey, your journal comes home to you—filled with beautiful pages created by many hands, each one a reminder that creativity is even more meaningful when it’s shared.

 

How It Works

Step 1 — Join the Founding Circle

Your $8 registration includes:

• A composition journal
• Supplies to alter your journal cover during our kickoff event
• Kickoff instruction packet
• Your place in our inaugural Journal Exchange Society

Participation is limited so every journal will travel through the complete circle.

 

Step 2 — Kickoff & Journal Creation Day

Friday, August 28
Drop in anytime between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM

There’s no set class time!

Come whenever works best for your schedule and stay as long as you’d like.

During your visit you’ll:

• Alter the cover of your journal
• Create your personal “About Me” pages
• Complete your very first journal spread
• Meet other members of the Journal Society
• Learn how the exchange process works

When you’re finished…

You’ll leave your journal safely at The Studio.

 

Step 3 — The Monthly Exchange

Approximately once each month you’ll return to The Studio during the designated exchange window.

You’ll:

✔ Return the journal you’ve been creating in.

✔ Pick up your next journal.

✔ Take it home and add your own unique creativity.

Each journal will make its way through every participant before returning home to its original owner.
