What is a CROP? A Creative Weekend Retreat in Edmond, Oklahoma

What is a CROP?

At The Studio, CROP stands for:

C – Creative

R – Relaxed

O – Organized

P – Play

A crop is more than just a weekend of crafting.

It’s dedicated time set aside for yourself—a chance to unplug from daily responsibilities, spread out your supplies, work on projects you love, and spend time with other creative people.

Whether you’re trying to finish unfinished projects, learn something new, or simply enjoy a peaceful weekend creating, our crops are designed to give you the space and time to do exactly that.

“But I Don’t Scrapbook…”

That’s perfectly okay!

One of the biggest misconceptions about crops is that they’re only for scrapbookers.

While we certainly have scrapbookers who attend, our crop weekends are filled with all kinds of creativity.

You’ll find people working on:

✨ Handmade cards

✨ Art journals

✨ Junk journals

✨ Bible journaling

✨ Diamond art

✨ Coloring projects

✨ Watercolor painting

✨ Acrylic painting

✨ Quilting projects

✨ Crochet and knitting

✨ Cross stitch and embroidery

✨ Paper crafting

✨ Mixed media art

✨ Memory keeping projects

✨ And all those unfinished creative projects waiting at home for “someday.”

If you can bring it to the studio and create it at a table, it belongs at crop.

What Do You Get at a Studio Crop?

When you attend a crop at The Studio, you’ll enjoy:

Your Own 6-Foot Table

No squeezing into tiny spaces.

Every attendee receives their own spacious 6-foot table (most with electric) so you can spread out, get comfortable, and leave your projects set up all weekend.

Access to Studio Tools & Machines

Need a die-cut machine?

A paper trimmer?

Specialty crafting tools?

Crop attendees have access to many of the tools and machines available throughout the studio, helping you create without needing to bring everything from home.

Dinner Included

We’ve got meals covered so you can focus on creating.

🍽 Friday Night Dinner Included

🍽 Saturday Night Dinner Included

No cooking. No dishes. No interruptions.

A Weekend of Relaxation

Our crops are intentionally designed to be low-stress and welcoming.

No deadlines.

No pressure.

No complicated schedules.

Just creativity, conversation, laughter, and time spent doing something you love.

Why People Love Crop Weekends

Life gets busy.

Projects pile up.

Creative time often gets pushed to the bottom of the list.

Crop weekends give you permission to pause.

To create.

To connect.

To recharge.

Many attendees tell us they accomplish more during one crop weekend than they do in several months at home.

But even more importantly, they leave refreshed, inspired, and ready to tackle life again.

Create Something. Belong Somewhere.
